Dr. Charles NewmanCharles Newman, Jr., M.D.

Dr. Newman is a native of Orlando who has returned to become a part of the medical community. He completed his undergraduate education at the Davidson College in Davidson, North Carolina where he majored in Biology. He returned to Florida for medical school at The University of South Florida College of Medicine. Dr. Newman then moved to Winston-Salem where he trained at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in General Surgery and all aspects of Plastic Surgery including Reconstructive Surgery, Cosmetic Surgery, Pediatric Reconstruction, Hand Surgery, Microsurgery, and Endoscopic techniques under the leadership of prominent leaders in the field of plastic surgery including Dr. Malcolm Marks, Dr. Louis Argenta, and Dr. Wayne Meredith. He is proud to be board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Dr. Newman performs the full breadth of cosmetic surgery including facial/brow/eyelid rejuvenation, cosmetic breast procedures (augmentation, reduction, lift), body contouring (abdominoplasty, thigh lift, liposuction, massive weight loss reconstruction), and minimally invasive techniques such as peels, lasers, fillers, Botox®, implants, and fat injections. Although he maintains a successful cosmetic practice, Dr. Newman finds reconstructive surgery very rewarding. Dr. Newman utilizes techniques in breast reconstruction using Tissue Expanders/Implants, TRAM (Transverse Rectus Abdominis Myocutaneous,) and Latissimus flaps. His other major interests include skin cancer (Melanoma, Squamous Cell, Basal Cell Carcinoma) and often works in conjunction with other physicians to reconstruct soft tissue defects. Dr. Newman attends national and regional meetings to stay abreast of the latest technologies in his field and applies them appropriately. Dr. Newman is a devoted husband and father of four with strong ties to the Orlando community. His goal is to provide patients with professional, comfortable, informative, and individualized experience in his clinic. He prides himself on being available to offer open communication and the highest level of patient care.

Dzi-Long Newman

Dzi-Long Newman, MPAS, PA-C

Dzi is a board certified physician assistant. Dzi received her Bachelor of Science  in Microbiology and Cell Science degree from University of Florida. She continued her education at the University of Florida, receiving her Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Sciences in 2000. Dzi began her career as a physician assistant working at Tampa General Hospital as an integral part of the Hand and Microsurgery Team. She  trained in the techniques of evaluation and treatment of hand-related injuries and disorders. She also received specialized training in microsurgery, flaps, wound repair and suturing techniques of traumatic lacerations. After moving to North Carolina with her husband, she began working in a well-respected dermatology practice that focused on skin care, general medical and surgical dermatology, and skin cancer treatment . She has had the opportunity to observe, learn and work with many of the best dermatologists in the Piedmont Triad area of North Carolina, giving her the ability to hone  and perfect her skills, knowledge and application there of. Dzi keeps up with the latest technology by attending continuing medical education classes in plastic and reconstructive surgery, dermatology surgery and cosmetic medicine at all times. She enjoys what she does very much, and is enthusiastic about the treatment options available to each person of all ages, skin types and desired improvements. She will help you achieve and maintain the best cosmetic outcomes for your skin as well as helping you decide what is right for you. Her experience in Hand Surgery and Dermatology are assets that complement the care offered in our practice. As a mother of four, she has particular insight to the modern woman’s needs of balancing personal and professional lives.
